CELT held its annual meeting Sunday, November 5, at Purpoodock. Sponsored by Dan Redmond, Key Bank, The Landing at Cape Elizabeth, Noyes, Hall and Allen, and Purdy Powers, the event garnered over 100 attendees. Anne Carney was recognized for her outstanding three-year term as president and eight years of service on the CELT Board. The following slate of officers was elected: Elizabeth Goodspeed, President; Suzanne McGinn, Vice President; Wyman Briggs, Treasurer; Jan Molleur, Secretary; Bill Luneburg, At-Large Member. The keynote speaker, Tim Glidden, of MCHT, spoke about community conservation and led small group discussions about how what community needs related to the land CELT can address and why CELT’s work is important. “As the CELT board looks into the future, we want to stay true to our mission, while at the same time ensuring our work reflects the needs and desires of the community in which we serve,” Goodspeed said in her remarks. Members who were unable to attend the meeting are encouraged to send in their thoughts on why CELT’s work is important and what we should be focusing on. info@capelandtrust.org.
