We are excited to welcome Maddie Stephen as one of our summer interns. Maddie is a native ‘Caper’ and has decided to dedicate some of her time to help manage, maintain, and improve CELT’s properties. Maddie spent her childhood enjoying all the beauty that Cape has to offer and still frequently walks the trails in town with her mom, friends, and dog Teddy.
Maddie just completed her sophomore year at Providence College, where she’s working to complete a major in Environmental Biology and a minor in Women’s and Gender Studies. At school, she’s employed in the Office of Environmental Health & Safety, where she educates her community about sustainability. This coming fall, she’ll be traveling to Cairns, Australia to study in a “Rainforest, Reef, and Cultural Ecology” program. Maddie’s hoping to apply some of the knowledge gained from her time at CELT to her future endeavors at Providence College and in Australia.
