On Monday March 30th CELT’s board voted unanimously to approve the revised Public Access Plan which will allow for off-leash use from Sunrise to 10am at Robinson Woods II and from 4pm to Sunset at Robinson Woods I. Both the Wildflower Trail segment in Robinson Woods I and the Canter Way Trail between the Methodist Church Trails and Robinson Woods II will not allow off-leash use at any time.
This new policy will go into effect on May 1st and will be accompanied by new signage and educational outreach to ensure compliance. Proposed policy changes regarding mountain biking will also go into effect on May 1st. Click here to view or download PDF of new policy.
We are hopeful that in allowing for some additional off-leash hours at the property that we will be able to maintain a balance of use that enables all visitors to enjoy the property safely. More specific information relating to the monitoring of compliance during this trial period will be released prior to May 1.
We thank you for your role in helping CELT to protect and steward the Robinson Woods Preserve.
Sincerely,
The Cape Elizabeth Land Trust
